Privacy policy.
MakeMyCall places phone calls on your behalf. That only works if you trust us with what you ask for and what gets said on the line. This policy explains what we collect, why, who sees it, and how to delete it — in plain language.
01Who we are
MakeMyCall, Inc. ("MakeMyCall," "we," "us") operates the MakeMyCall.ai website and the MakeMyCall apps for web, iOS, and Android (together, the "Service"). We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at support@makemycall.ai.
02What we collect
- Account information. Your name, email address, phone number, and password (stored hashed) when you create an account.
- Call requests. The instructions you give us — who to call, what to ask, and any details needed to complete the task (for example, a reservation name or prescription number).
- Call transcripts. Text of calls the Service places on your behalf, plus call metadata such as the business dialed, duration, and outcome.
- Call recordings — only if you turn recording on. Recording is off by default. If you enable it, we also keep the audio of your calls, and the assistant announces at the start of each call that it may be recorded.
- Payment information. Handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number — only your plan, billing status, and the last four digits.
- Usage and device data. App and browser type, device identifiers, IP address, and how you interact with the Service, used for security, debugging, and improving the product.
03How we use it
- To place, manage, and report on the calls you request — this is the core of the Service.
- To show you live transcripts, summaries, and call history.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Service, including preventing fraud and abuse.
- To communicate with you about your calls, your account, and material changes to the Service.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the content of your calls for advertising.
04Calls, recordings & the people we call
When the Service calls a business, it identifies itself as an assistant calling on your behalf and, if asked, discloses that it is an AI. Your personal phone number is never shown or shared — calls go out on our lines.
Every call is transcribed so you can review it. Audio recording is off by default. If you turn it on, the assistant states upfront, at the start of each call, that the call may be recorded. Recordings (if enabled) and transcripts are visible only to you (and anyone you share your account or family plan with).
05Who we share it with
- Service providers who help us run the Service — telephony carriers, cloud hosting, speech and AI model providers, and payment processing — bound by contracts limiting their use of your data to providing services to us.
- The business being called, but only the details needed to complete your request (for example, the reservation name and party size — never your phone number).
- Legal requirements. If required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of MakeMyCall, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. If MakeMyCall is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may transfer with it; this policy continues to apply.
06Retention & deletion
Transcripts, call history, and any recordings you have enabled are kept while your account is active so you can refer back to them. You can delete any recording or transcript at any time from the app, and it is removed from our production systems promptly and from backups within 30 days.
If you close your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except what we must retain for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.
07Security
Transcripts — and recordings, if you enable them — are encrypted in transit and at rest. Access inside MakeMyCall is limited to personnel who need it to operate the Service, and is logged. No system is perfectly secure — if a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
08Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the EEA/UK under GDPR and California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly in the app; for anything else, email support@makemycall.ai. We will respond within the time required by applicable law, and you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
09Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. If the changes are material, we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
